Gabriela McGuinty Cañete
Gabriela McGuinty Cañete was an intern at the ISDP Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs. She graduated in 2021 from McGill University with a double major in Political Science and International Development, and a minor in East Asian Studies. Gabriela speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently and has been taking Mandarin for the last 8 years. Her research interests include Chinese foreign policy, the influence of soft power on a global scale, as well as the intersection between climate change and International security. Gabriela is currently pursuing an MSc in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management through the Erasmus Mundus MESPOM program.
