Nick Johnston began his internship at ISDP in June 2016. He is about to begin his fourth year of undergraduate study at Duke University, North Carolina, where he is majoring in political science and international studies and minoring in German. His research interests focus on international relations and their impact on national security and he has conducted study into this area in the United States, Australia and Denmark. Nick is currently writing his honors thesis on the efficacy of ISIS’ recruitment campaigns in the West. At ISDP, Nick will be affiliated with the Institute’s Center for Transnational Threats.
