Roy Kamphausen
Roy Kamphausen has served as a career army officer in the United States armed forces. As a China foreign area officer, his held positions as China policy director in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, China strategist for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and as a military attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. Since 2004 he has worked at the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR). He has published numerous insightful pieces on military developments in China and elsewhere in Asia.
